Thousands of Minute Maid Drinks Recalled for Ties
Coca-Cola has recalled three Minute Maid juice products that may contain metal bolts or washers. FDA data shows it covers nearly 7,500 cases of product and includes berry punch, strawberry lemonade, and 59-ounce brand fruit juices. They have been distributed to CT, ME, MD, NJ, NY, NC, PA, and VA. The recall began on November 10.
1,500 poorly wrapped brownie trays
Dianne’s Fine Desserts (Newburyport, MA) has recalled 1,480 platters of decadent Sienna chocolate brownies due to improper packaging, resulting in undeclared pecans. The product has been distributed by Gordon Food Service to stores in WI, MI, FL, OH and PA.
Metal in cream puffs
Poppies International (Battleboro, North Carolina) has recalled cream puff products made December 7-10, which may contain small fragments of metal. Delizza brand products have been distributed to stores in California, CT, DE, MA, MD, NH, NJ, NY, PA and RI.
Health alert for Chinese meat and poultry
The USDA has issued a public health alert for an unknown quantity of meat and poultry products imported from China. The total amount of ineligible product is undetermined as the investigation is ongoing. Products do not identify an eligible establishment number on their packaging and have not been presented to FSIS for import re-inspection.
Half ton of smoked fish
Haifa Smoked Fish (Jamaica, NY) has extended its recall of 8 oz Turbot Cold Smoked packages for Listeria risk to include 920 lbs of Turbot from lots 97, 223, 299, 321. They have been distributed to retail stores in New York and New Jersey. .
